YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set the agenda for how Bayer positions itself externally on key global communications channels, through both strategic planning and opportunistic storytelling.
- Design, steer and execute communications campaigns across Bayer’s global external and internal channels.
- Draft and design communications across a range of formats (copywriting, speechwriting, producing videos and graphics) and channels (corporate and executive social media, presentations, media briefings, speeches, etc.) on key reputational topics and key strategic initiatives for the company.
- Craft strategy and content production for CEO social channels.
- Ensure content plans are insight-driven, supported with the right resources, and compelling for the audience.
- Work in close alignment with divisional strategic messaging and content leads.
- Steer agencies and external partners to reach a desired strategic outcome.
- Plan and manage timelines, budget and other resources against the global communication plans and approved resources.
WHO YOU ARE
- BA/BS Degree in Communications, Media or Journalism and/or professional background in journalism, marketing, strategy, or corporate communications.
- Native-level English language abilities with German language abilities as a plus.
- Ideally long-term professional experience in communications or public relations.
- Ability to process information and translate it into a clear brief or a compelling story.
- Ability to work proactively and collaboratively within a global organization, with people from a diverse range of disciplines and backgrounds, ability to indirectly lead and influence cross-functional, international teams in non-hierarchical context.
- Ability to influence others and take ideas from strategic planning to execution.
- Excellent writing skills, particularly in English and/or German, strong focus on what will connect with an audience.
- Experience in managing social media campaigns and writing for social.
- Proven track record of structuring and managing projects and executing compelling content campaigns.
- Has the ability to prioritize demands and work resourcefully.
- Experience in working with artificial intelligence, graphic design, video editing, and related programs is a very welcome plus.
- Strong analytical capabilities – ability to evaluate impact and make data-driven decisions.
- Ability to understand the contours of a business strategy / business performance and translate that into compelling communications
The successful candidate may be based in Germany: Berlin; Germany : North Rhine Westfalia : Leverkusen; Switzerland : Basel-City : Basel; United States : Missouri : St. Louis; United States : New Jersey : Whippany or at some other major Bayer sites.
